Man who died after alleged drunk driver struck him on I-20 identified

A 66-year-old man was identified as the tow truck driver who died after being struck by a vehicle driven by a suspected drunk driver on westbound Interstate 20 and Spur 408 near Grand Prairie last week.

The tow truck driver, identified as Guillermo Garcia, was standing outside his vehicle when he was hit, according to a previous statement from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

Garcia died at 4:12 p.m. on March 18 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.

The driver involved in the crash, Selvin Omar Amador Morazon, 41, was arrested and faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter, officials said.
