Police are investigating after a group of individuals were reportedly seen robbing a home before fleeing and crashing their vehicle into a police patrol car.

Princeton police received a 911 call at 7:54 p.m. on Friday from a resident of Coniston Court who reported hearing unknown people inside her home and requested assistance, according to a social media post.

Officers arrived at the scene and observed several individuals exiting the home. The group immediately entered a car and fled the area.

Authorities said the fleeing vehicle then collided head-on with a Princeton Police patrol car responding on Great Road.

The suspects exited the vehicle and ran on foot, police reported.

The officer driving the patrol car was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Law enforcement conducted a search of the area using a K-9 unit from the Hamilton Police Department and a drone from the West Windsor Police Department but were unable to locate the suspects.

Officials confirmed that none of the residents inside the home were injured during the incident.

The investigation remains active.
