Members of the Washington Township Police Department in Gloucester County are asking for help after a car was stolen from a resident’s driveway.
Shortly after 3 a.m. March 14, a red 2019 Dodge Charger Daytona was taken from a driveway along Doe Court.
The theft was captured on video, according to a social media post from police.

The video shows two masked suspects wearing gloves and sweatshirts. One suspect armed with a believed Glock handgun stood guard while the second suspect smashed the rear passenger window to enter the vehicle.
The two suspects pushed the car across the street to Hurffville Elementary School, where two more cars — another stolen Dodge and an Acura — were parked. They then started the car and fled.
A 2019 Dodge Charger Daytona was stolen off a resident driveway overnight in Washington Township.
License plate readers captured the car traveling through the Five Points intersection, with another stolen car following the 2019 Dodge.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., the car was driven across Walt Whitman Bridge and into Philadelphia.
“High performance vehicles like this are often targeted,” Washington Township police wrote in the social media post. “If possible, park in a garage, utilize steering wheel locks, and remove key fobs from entryways.”
The theft is under investigation by Det. Matt Franchi. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Franchi at 856-589-0330 ext. 1143.
